In the heart of the Douro region, a few miles from the historical centre
of Régua, Quinta do Vallado spreads along both banks of the Corgo River, right where it meets the Douro. With references dating back to 1716, the Quinta belonged to the legendary
D. Antónia Adelaide Ferreira and has remained in the family ever since. It is now in its sixth generation.

Part of the 38 ha vineyards are still young, aged between 6 and 10 years old. But the best plots, about 26 ha with more than 60 years old, largely compensates for it. João Ferreira Álvares Ribeiro, Francisco Ferreira and Francisco Olazabal have already reached quality levels, recognized by international experts like the Wine Spectator magazine. Watch the video

How to get there

Coming from Lisbon, take the A1 motorway until Albergaria, then take the A25 until Viseu and once there, take the A24 to Régua.

Coming from Porto, take the A4 up to Amarante and the IP4 towards Bragança. After Vila Real, take the A24 to Régua.

Once in Régua, follow the marginal road, pass under the A24 viaduct and follow the road with the Corgo River on your right. 3 km ahead, cross a small bridge over the river and turn right, crossing the railway track. Follow the road. Quinta do Vallado is the ochre building you will see some meters ahead.
